FrankenKarson. Or Karsonstein...
We had trick or treaters last Thursday night, but couldn't let actual Halloween pass without forcing Karson in to another costume! Here's our little Frankenstein!

Nothing but treats here, folks!
We've been busy for the last couple weeks...and therefore a little slow on here. We've had 3 strings of visitors, a fall party, work travel for both of us, and now, trick or treating!
Did you catch that work travel part? Karson's mama is on a new project, and as a result, we spent our first (second, third, and fourth) nights apart. Daddy did a great job taking care of the little man, and I returned to a happy household.
Tonight was trick or treating in our neighborhood. Karson was an adorable little pup, and enjoyed greeting our guests. We also snapped pics with a couple of his new friends. Enjoy!

8 Months!
Karson is 8 months old today! He is becoming such a little boy! Our “baby” days are quickly passing. I am both saddened and excited by that.
Here are some fun facts and figures about 8 month old Karson.
· He weighs roughly 20 pounds.
· He eats anything and everything, and as much of it as we are willing to give him. In fact, he makes “mmm” sounds the whole time he eats. It’s adorable.
· His favorite foods are pretty much any fruit and sweet potatoes. He has recently tried stage 2 mixes such as apples and chicken, and turkey and sweet potatoes. And he’s finally coming around to love puffs!
· He sleeps through the night (8:30pm to 7:00am)…as long as he is healthy.
· Speaking of being healthy…in the last month Karson had a virus, and even worse, the dreaded ear infection. Little man does NOT handle the ear infections well.
· As soon as we lay him on his changing pad, he reaches backward for the yellow tube of cream, and the shout wipes.
· He sits up like a champ! He started sitting independently right after his 7 month update. But he’s a pro at it now!
· Still no crawling. If we put him on all fours he will rock, then spread eagle on to his belly. He’s not a fan of either of those positions.
· He claps on his own now (albeit awkwardly), and loves playing Pat-a-cake.
· He loves the outside. He stares longingly at the green grass when he’s near a window, and he’s always up for a stroll around the neighborhood.
· His favorite book is still 10 shiny snails, but he also enjoys waterproof ones for gnawing on.
· Speaking of gnawing…he has two teeth poking through on the bottom!
· He wears size 3 diapers, and 6-9 and 9 month clothes. He’s outgrown several 6-9 month items.

Things I don’t want to forget:
Karson’s first trip to the pumpkin patch, and misinterpreting a dirty diaper for hatred for the corn box!
The first time he clapped on his own for Pat-a-cake.
The way he greets me with a squeeze and zooms in toward my face with an open slobbery mouth.
The way he greets daddy with a huge grin, kicking legs, and a few firm pats on the face.
Justin gave him a taste of ice cream, and when it came nearby again, Karson grabbed it and smashed it in to his own face. (Boy LOVES to eat!)
The way when he’s really sleepy he talks and jabbers himself to sleep.
How perfect he is, and how we can’t imagine life without him.
Here are some pictures of our growing monkey:
And here's this month's photo shoot. It seems we have officially outgrown the lay on the blanket routine. Remember to click on any photo to see it larger.

Fall is here!
Fall is here! And with that comes all sort of fantabulous things. Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Pumpkin roll. Pumpkin anything. Beautiful leaves. Fodders (Hey Angie!). Crisp cool weather. Bonfires. You get the point.
We decided to take Karson out to a local pumpkin patch and take in a little apple cider. Obviously he wouldn't be interested, nor will be remember it...but dog gone it...we got some cute pictures! Enjoy!

Kroger's Cutest Shopper
Recently, I posted on facebook that Kroger shoppers needed to keep their germy paws off of my baby. TWO strangers felt the need to not only get close to him, but to reach out and touch his little hands. And honestly...I get it. He is pretty irresistible. And he's not exactly shying away from the attention. Ok fine, he seems to be seeking it out.
Here's the "Vintage Biker" himself!
Admit it...you want to reach out and squeeze on him too.
